AZ-104 is a passable exam if you put in deliberate practice. The certification has real value because it certifies practical knowledge that translates directly to day-to-day Azure administration. Once you pass, you can keep building - AZ-305 (Solutions Architect Expert) is the natural next step, or AZ-500 (Security Engineer) if security is your focus.
If you fail the first time, do not be discouraged. The score report tells you which domains were weakest. Spend two weeks specifically on those domains. Retake. Most people who fail once pass on the second attempt because they know exactly where to focus.
